225 g butter (soft)

225 g sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

375 g flour
Instructions:

In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth.

Add the egg and vanilla, and mix well.

Sift in the flour and stir until a soft dough forms.

Roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper.

Cut into shapes if you like.

Bake at 160 °C for 12 minutes, until lightly golden.
